Healthy Penn State | Nutrition Information

It seems like almost every day brings advice on a new healthy diet. So, what really constitutes healthy eating? Fruits and vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend two cups of fruit and 2½ cups of vegetables every day.

Only 7% of Penn State students eat 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables per day according to the Fall 2004 American College Health Association’s National College Health Assessment.
