So, how much physical activity do you need to benefit? The US Department of Health and Human Services recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity OR 75 minutes of vigorous intensity activity and strength-building exercises at least twice per week. According to the Fall 2004 American College Health Association’s National College Health Assessment, less than half (42%) of Penn State students are meeting the mark.
