Eating well can be tricky, especially when you are in college. As a student, you are frequently on-the-go and may not always think about your eating habits. Here are some suggestions and resources to help you:
- Plan ahead for meals by using Penn State’s Food Service menu information page.
- Stock up on frozen fruits and vegetables. They take little time to prep and cook and they’re just as nutritious as fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Build your plates to look like MyPlate. This means lots of vegetables and grains, a good amount of protein and fruit, and some dairy.
- Make eating enjoyable, cook with roommates to make it a social bonding activity.
